Hello, I am Anja, the osteopath! It’s lovely to meet you and thank you so much for paying a virtual visit here. I hope we get to meet in person before too long!

My Work

I love osteopathy and am passionate about women’s health. Incontinence, menopause, period pains, pelvic floor problems, all the taboo things that we are culturally conditioned not to talk about – they are all very welcome here. Self-confessed menovist. I combine gentle manual therapy with raising more awareness to deliver a unique integrative service for women in our beautiful part of North Wales.

Osteopathy enables both, the patient as well as the practitioner, to bring knowledge, life experience, and philosophy together to form a unique therapeutic relationship. No two patients are ever the same, likewise no two osteopaths treat in exactly the same way, despite maybe having trained at the same place. We are all so different! In clinical practice, this is exciting as well as challenging, yet so rewarding!

Finding a good therapeutic match for your specific needs and expectations can sometimes be a little tricky or may take some time. Having visited my “virtual” clinic, if you think that ‘someone’ could be me, I would be delighted. So why not book in for a consultation?

And last but not least, yes, I am qualified, registered and insured to work as an osteopath as well as a lymphoedema practitioner.

My Play

Since life is not all about work and I practice what I preach in terms of work-life balance, naturally there is downtime and play as well.

Together with hubbie Carl and Poppy, the Labrador, we make the most of the beautiful surroundings we are privileged to live in. When not working, there is a good chance you find me somewhere outdoors in Snowdonia with unruly hair, walking or swimming in the local lakes and the sea with the Wooly Hatters Swimming Group. More recently, during lockdown, I had a go at vegetable gardening. Surprised but encouraged by my greend-fingered success, I might keep that up!
